The ministry of Human Recourse Development (MHRD) Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous testing organisation for conducting international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions. NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA for admission in MBBS/BDS courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved Medical/Dental & other colleges/Institutes of India.

NEET Eligibility Criteria (Proposed)

Selected candidates will be issued a call letter, having the information related to counselling to NEET, schedule, procedure, fee etc. There are various authorities who will hold NEET counselling.

MCC will conduct the counselling at the national and state level. Additionally, The Directorate
General of HealthServices(DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committe(MCC), will
conduct the NEET 2020 counselling for the following categories:-

(1) 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across all states
(except Jammu & Kashmir).

(2) Seats reserved for wards of insured persons (IP Quota) in Employees. State Insurance
Corporation(ESIC) medical colleges.

(3) 100 percent seats in Deemed and Central University.

(4) Seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.

Second round counselling for state government colleges.
Third round counselling for Deemed & Central Universities.

(1) NEET admit card.
(2)) NEET rank letter.
(3) 10 & 12 th certificate.
(4) ID proof with 8 passport size photo.
(5) Provisional allotment letter generated online after allotment.
(6) Community certificate.

Reservation of seats in Medical colleges under 15% in All India Quota:
(I) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates.
(2) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates.
(3) 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates
(4) 3% seats are reserved for PH candidates

1. Age Limit:-

(1) Minimum 17 yrs completed at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31 Dec of the year.
(2) Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for NEET subject to rule & regulations
framed by the respective State Governments and Govt. of India.

2. XII Eligibility (Minimum %ge):-

(1) 50% marks for General category, 45% for General PH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC or SC/ST/OBC-PH.
(2) PCB/Biotechnology must pass on any other elective subject with Engish.
(3) No attempts limit.

3. Entrance Qualifying Criteria:-

(1) Qualifying criteria has been changed from 50% of absolute marks in NEET to 50 percentile of GC, 45 percentile for GC-PH, 40 percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC students. in NEET to ensure that no seat remains unfilled.
(2) The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in All India Common Merit list in NEET for admission to MBBS course.

4. No state eligibility criteria will be applicable the students who take admission under 15% in ALL India Quota scheme.
